Alfred's Story

Alfred J. Sciuto, 97 died August 13, 2016 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Methuen, the son of Gaetano and Rose Sciuto. He had been a resident of Derry for the past 30 years. A carpenter, he had been employed for many years with A & J Construction. Mr. Sciuto was a train enthusiast and had a remarkable collection of model trains.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Jean E. Sciuto, and a son, Alfred J. Sciuto, Jr.
Members of his family include a son, James Sciuto of Rye and daughter, Terry Sciuto of Dunbarton.
Calling hours will be Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast Street Goffstown. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in NH State Veterans Cemetery of Boscawen.
