MELBOURNE, FL - Beloved wife, mother, and Nana.
Alicia was born in Newton, Mass. and grew up in Derry, N.H. Preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Edith MacGregor, Alicia is survived by her husband, Gerald Goodchild; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lesley and Raymond, Patricia and Francisco; her daughter, Susan; her son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Quinn; four granddaughters: Elise, Kimberly, Abigail, and Georgia; two grandsons: Colin and MacGregor; her sister, Sandra; her aunt, Patsy; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives living in New England; all of whom were invited to her annual 4th of July party at the beach in New Hampshire every year. Alicia was known for serving the best ham and homemade baked beans in the county.
Alicia graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, and attended the New England Deaconess School of Nursing in Boston.
She met her husband, Jerry, when she was 12 and he was 14 in 1948. They married eleven years later in Derry, N.H. in January 1956. Alicia moved with Jerry to 19 locations around the world as an Army Officer's wife before settling in Merritt Island, Florida in 1976. Alicia did a great deal of volunteer work in her community. Two of the volunteer jobs that Alicia enjoyed the most were acting as a Guardian Ad Litem and running a newborn hearing testing program for many years at a local hospital. Alicia loved her book club and the library.
