Anna Mae's Story

Anna M. Mundy, 100, of Derry, N.H., died Wednesday May 25, 2016 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. She was born in Revere, daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Argy) Mundy, sister of John and Francis Mundy. She had been a resident of Derry for the past three years, formerly living in Medford, where she spent most of her life. Anna summered the majority of her life at Beaver Lake in Derry, where she was "Miss Beaver Lake" in 1937. Miss Mundy had been employed as an office manager for RC Sullivan in Cambridge. She loved to dance, the outdoors, going to the beach, playing cards and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two nieces, Joanne Howard and her husband, Alan of Derry, and Maryann Venuti and her husband, Robert of Lexington; her grand niece, Rita Estey; four grand nephews, Frank Howard, Edward Howard, Paul Venuti, and Jason Venuti; as well as many great-great-nieces and nephews.

A calling hour was held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry, N.H. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Broadway, Malden.
