DERRY: Charles A. Holubiak, 71, of Derry, died Monday, October 19, 2015 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Boston, on May 18, 1944, a son of the late Stephen and Phyllis (Cataldo) Holubiak. He had been a resident of Derry since 1990, formerly living in Japan and Boston. Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam era. He had been employed as an engineer for General Electric, retiring in 2006. Charles was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed dabbling in the stock market.
He is survived by his wife, Kyomie (Muramoto) Holubiak of Derry; his son, Stephen Holubiak of Hooksett, N.H.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Maria Rosato of Danvers, Eleanor Hardy of Ossipee, N.H., and MaryEllen Carpenter of Danvers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 23, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
