DERRY, NH: Donald W. Ross, Sr. of Derry, N.H., passed on peacefully, on August 4, 2015, at the Bedford Village Nursing Home, Bedford, N.H., from natural causes resulting from Alzheimer Disease. He was 78 years old. Son of Herbert W. Ross and Katherine (Sharon) Ross, he was a lifelong resident of Derry, N.H. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy, Tilton Prep School, and attended UNH. His greatest passion was football. He played football at PA, Tilton Prep, UNH, and with the Semi Pro Nashua Colts for a total of 14 years. For many years, he operated Ross Corner Dairy milk business. Ross Corner Dairy, Derry, N.H., was founded by his great-grandfather, Eugene W. Ross, in 1907. He also was an accomplished Brick Mason and Project Supervisor at the Naval Shipyard. Donald was an avid golfer, and a keen card player. He had a love for horses and had many race horses at Rockingham Park. Donald was a kind man, always willing to lend a helping hand. He can be remembered for his witty one liners. Donald is shown in this picture with his deceased brother, Bradley, in front of the well-known Ross Corner Dairy milk truck. Donald was predeceased by his son, Curtis Ross and daughter, Tamra Ross. He is survived by his daughter, Virginia Ross, and her two daughters, Sabrina and Julia of Exeter, N.H.; and son, Donald W Ross, Jr., and his two daughters, Samantha and Kaci of Coconut Creek, Fla. A small private service was held in Coconut Creek, Fla.
