MANCHESTER, NH: Edward T. McGratty, 77, died on Friday, September 11, 2015 at his home in Manchester. He was born on October 2, 1937 in Queens, N.Y., son of Edward P. and Sadie (Million) McGratty.
Edward served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a supervisor for Continental Can Company until his retirement.
In life, he got his greatest pleasures from fishing, spending time with family and his dogs.
He is survived by his seven children, Kathy Dussault and husband, John of Weare, N.H., Barbara Sigrist and husband, Joel of Weare, Edward McGratty and wife, Barbara of Francestown, Kevin McGratty of Derry, Scott McGratty and wife, Lisa of Keene, Christopher McGratty of Manchester, and Jennifer McGratty of Derry; grandchildren, Eric, Molly, Aaron, Noah, Lindsay, Jamie, Jessica, Sara, Andrew, Adam, Delaney, and Brody; 16 great-grandchildren; nephews, Robert Guyer and Thomas Guyer, both of Florida, and his beloved dog, Shane.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
