DERRY: Elaine V. Patnaude, 76, of Derry, passed away while under hospice care on Friday, October 23, 2015 following a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on October 31, 1938 in Chelsea,, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Murphy) Kevlik. Elaine and her husband collected antiques. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and arts and crafts. She was also a bit of a shopaholic. Elaine loved to spend time with her friends and especially loved the time spend with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a social butterfly that lit up a room and could be a real firecracker.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald C. Patnaude Jr. and wife, Mariella, Michael Patnaude and wife, Denise, and Timothy Patnaude and wife, Colette; one daughter, Stacy Hall and husband, Scott, 10 grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Erica, Dylan, Joshua, Joseph, Justin, Valerie, Kendra and Christopher; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosalie O’Connell and Elisa Preston; two brothers, James Kevlik and Jan Kevlik; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald C. Patnaude Sr. in 2003.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry with a service to begin at 6 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 30, at 9 a.m. in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
