CONCORD, NH- George L '"Cap" Tyler, 87 of Concord, N.H. passed away Sunday Jan. 28 in Sarasota Fla.
George was born June 25, 1930 the only child of James and Vera (Backman) Tyler. George was raised in Derry, N.H. Attended Pinkerton Academy, where he played all 3 major sports and was captain of the football team 1948. He was an insurance agent with John Handcock for over 25 years. He was a hard working man that loved his family. He spent 17 winters in Sun City Center Fla. Cap love to watch the Red Sox and Pats play. He attended Christ Church in Pembroke, NH.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Marie J. Tyler in 2017. His wife, Julia Gibbs Tyler in 1967.
He is survived by his son, James L Tyler and his wife, Tammy of Derry, N.H.; his daughter, Kim L Jaskolka and her husband, Jay of Sarasota Fla.; stepchildren, Raymond Downes of Concord, Lisa Campbell of Nova Scotia and Mary Smith of Concord; his grandchildren, James L Tyler Jr. and his wife, Courtney of Exeter, N.H., Stephanie Silva of Derry, N.H.; great-grandchildren, Shane Jackson, Nathen and Aidan Silva. Pheobe and Rees Tyler.
