Harriet's Story

PORTSMOUTH, NH: Harriet G. Wennerberg, 100, of Portsmouth, N.H., died Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Edgewood Center, Portsmouth. Mrs. Wennerberg was born in Derry, N.H. on September 10, 1914, a daughter of the late George and Marion (Palmer) Devine. She was a lifelong resident of Derry, having worked for many years at Klev-Bro Shoe and Chelmsford Shoe Co. in Derry.

She is survived by her daughter, Arlene M. (Ivon) Esterline of Greenland, N.H.; five grandchildren, Richard Mullikin, Don Mullikin, Corinne Muder, Arlene Mullikin and Kim Mullikin, several great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Grace Rouillard of Pennsylvania, and also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Wennerberg in 1993.

A calling hour was held on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
