Jake Alexander's Story
Jake Alexander Glass, 20, of Derry, N.H., Westford, Mass., and Fort Meyers Beach, Fla., passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday, July 10, 2016, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born on July 8, 1996, in Salem, Mass., Jake grew up to be always a giver and never a taker.
A 2015 graduate of Westford Academy, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling trips with his father. He had a big heart and was happiest during the holidays and when spending time with his family and friends. Those who knew him best say he was always true to his word and was the finest son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend anyone could have.
Jake is survived by his parents, Gina Marie Glass of Derry and David Spencer Glass of Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; his father's wife, Buffy Glass of Fort Myers Beach; his siblings, Anthony and Olivia Hyde, and his step-siblings, Mimi, Doug, Millie, Trevor, Elsie and Cameron Roper; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Szczawinski and her husband, William; his maternal grandfather, Paul Sciaba; his paternal grandfather, Alexander H. Glass; his aunts, Toni Scofield, Elisabeth Martens and Jennifer Glass; his cousins, Haley and Taylor Scofield, Thatcher, Treighton and Hunter Madelly, and a multitude of friends who loved him well and will miss him terribly.
A memorial service will be arranged privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
