Derry, NH — Janice E. Bedell, 73, formerly of Derry, N.H., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Greenbriar Terrace in Nashua, N.H. She was born on Sept. 23, 1940 in Norwich, Conn., a daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Clays) Prodell. She attended Norwich Academy and graduated from University of Connecticut. She received her Master’s degree from Notre Dame University. Janice taught in the Derry school system for many years as a first grade teacher and later in her career worked with the gifted and talented program. She was a passionate artist, gardener and loved to cook. Janice loved to spend time with her family and was especially close to her three grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by her family and loved ones.
She is survived by two sons, Cole Bedell, of Meriden, Conn., and Todd Bedell and his wife, Linda of Londonderry; three granddaughters, Carly Bedell, Courtney Bedell and Alexa Bedell; one sister, Madaline Bouchard of Stanton, Conn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Graveside services will be follow at 2 p.m. in the Hillside Cemetery, Route 115A, Jefferson, N.H.
