Las Vegas, NV - Jennie C. Mastromarino (nee Frangioni), loving mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at the age of 90, in Las Vegas. She was born June 8, 1928, at 22 Warren Street, Cambridge, to Giovanni and Maria Frangioni. Her birth name was Giovannina Carolina after her father and maternal grandmother. She was the fourth child. Her siblings who have passed before her are Silviano, Spartaco, and Theresa.
Jennie attended Garnet School and Wellington School in Cambridge and graduated with honors from Cambridge High and Latin School in 1945 at the age of 16. She married Henry R. Mastromarino on June 16, 1946, and raised a family of six children in Massachusetts and New Hampshire before moving to Las Vegas in 1982. As a member of IATSE Local 720, she worked as a wardrobe attendant at the Hilton in "Moulin Rouge," then at the Stardust backstage for "Lido de Paris" and "Enter the Night" shows. After those shows closed, she worked as Wayne Newton's personal wardrobe attendant at the Stardust until she retired at age 73.
Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry, and beloved grandchildren Anthony Mastromarino, Joshua Lenhard, and Cheyenne Campbell. She leaves behind her sons, Dr. Joe Mastromarino (Liuda) of Hampton, NH, John Mastromarino of Las Vegas, and Dr. Mark Mastromarinino (Arvilla) of Derry, NH; and daughters Susan Perry of St. Augustine, Fla., Dayna LoPresti (Art) of Las Vegas, and Gina Campbell (Clint) of Snowflake, AZ. Grandchildren who have blessed her life are Jamie, Kelly, Tiffany, Marlena, Gianna, Sonny, Morgan, Silviano, Arvilla Jr., Gabriella, and Tony; great-grandchildren who have super blessed her life are Cassie, Zoey, Dylan, Sloan, Arlo, Draco, and Oliver. She will be sadly missed by her dear fur friend, Lucy.
