Margaret Sullivan-Robbins, 90, of Derry, N.H., passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry.
She was born in Salem, N.H., a daughter of the late Patrick and Jessie (Ross) Sullivan.
Margaret was a resident of Derry since 1945, formerly of Salem. She was a hard worker and took pride in her job. She was a teller for Fleet Bank in Derry that eventually became Sovereign Bank, working well into her 80s. Family was very important to Margaret and she enjoyed visiting with her family and hosting events and attending dinners as often as she could. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8546, as well as the Derry Pathfinders Snowmobile Club. Margaret was an athletic woman who loved to dance, go boating, snowmobiling and roller skating at Canobie Lake Park. Simply put, she loved life and enjoyed having fun.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Ackerman of Hampstead, N.H., and by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmond “Al” H. Robbins in 1994; by her two brothers, James and John Sullivan; and by her sister, Mary Holland.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. A funeral service will follow Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem.
