Hobe Sound, FL, Derry, NH — Mary Margaret Llewellyn, 96, of Derry, formerly of Hobe Sound, Fla., died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Care of Derry, N.H. Mrs. Llewellyn was born April 5, 1918 in Mars Hill, Maine and was a daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Reynolds) Pierce. She was raised and educated in the Mars Hill area and was a 1934 graduate of Presque Isle High School. She had been a resident of Florida for 30 years, prior to relocating to Derry in 2005.
Mary had been a waitress for many years prior to her retirement to Florida. She was a longtime member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Hobe Sound and volunteered through the church as a cook for the Young at Heart Community Association, routinely cooking for over 150 guests. Mary was currently a member of the Londonderry Methodist Church.
Members of the family include her brother, Fred Pierce of Iowa, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank S. Llewellyn and by seven siblings, Mable, Myrtle, Gretchen, Esther, Helen, Charles and Francis.
ARRANGEMENTS: There are no calling hours, after cremation, her cremated remains will be interred at the 1st United Methodist Church Memorial Garden of Hobe Sound, Fla.
