Norah's Story

Norah Philomena Bernadette Mills, 72, of Derry, N.H., died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 22, 1945, in County Galway, Ireland, daughter of the late John F. and Winnifred (Joyce) Keane. She was also predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Keane and a sister, Maura Picanso.

Norah was the wife of John F. Mills of Derry, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Norah loved her family dearly and took great pride in caring for them. She truly enjoyed cooking for them, shopping with them, and simply being around them. It’s where she found her greatest joy. She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and was employed for several years at the families 7-11 store in Derry. Norah was a longtime communicant of St. Kathryn Parish in Hudson and held her faith close to her heart.
Besides her loving husband, John, she is survived by two sons, Shawn P. Mills and his wife, Bethany of Peabody, Patrick J. Mills of Derry, N.H.; a daughter, Colleen R. Marston and her husband, James, Jr. of Derry, N.H.; six grandchildren, Joshua Marston, Samantha Marston, Faith Marston, Leah Marston, Evan Mills, and Adelynn Mills as well as five bothers and sister, Bridget Kelliher of Dublin, Ireland, Rita Maunsell and her husband, Brendan of Methuen, Paraic Keane and his wife, Ella of Dublin, Ireland, Fr. John Keane of Galway, Ireland, and Michael Keane and his wife, Catherine of Dublin, Ireland, also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours were held on Monday, August 28th in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St. in Hudson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, August 29th in St. Kathryn Parish, 4 Dracut Road in Hudson. Burial was in in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
