Punta Gorda, FL — Rita E. Fardella, 64, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014, at her home in Punta Gorda. She was born to the late Quirino and Eleanor Terenzi on May 4, 1950, in Winthrop, Mass., and grew up in East Boston.
Rita graduated from East Boston High School in 1968, and moved to Plaistow, N.H., in 1971. She then moved to Sandown in 1973, and later opened her own daycare business. Rita was a resident of Sandown for 38 years. In 1992, Rita graduated from Castle College of Windham, N.H., with an associate degree in Human Services, and worked as a caseworker for over 15 years with Work Inc. in Dorchester, Mass. In 2011, Rita retired and relocated to Punta Gorda.
Rita is survived by her son, Emmanuel R. Fardella, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and his wife, Kerry Fardella; daughter, Erika C. Masciulli of Dania, Fla. and her fiance, Lee Mays; and siblings, David Terenzi of Revere, Mass., Michael Terenzi of Londonderry, N.H., and Dolores DelViscovo of Londonderry and her husband, Vincenzo DelViscovo. Rita is also survived by her five grandchildren, Jacob Richard Fardella of Cheyenne, Victoria Teresina Donahue of Dania, Kaylin Sophie Fardella of Cheyenne, Tina Marie Mays of Dania, and Kaylee Francesca Mays of Dania. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held on Saturday August 23, at 10 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 50 Adams Pond Road, Derry, N.H. Burial will take place at Sandown Center Cemetery.
