Robert Jeans was born on July 29, 1934, in Winchester, Mass., to Arthur and Ruth Jeans. He married Janice Sullivan on April 7, 1956, in El Paso, Texas, while serving in the Military. He attended Northeastern University and UNH, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1962, Robert and Janice moved to Chester, N.H., where together they raised their children and built one of the largest Shaklee businesses on the east coast. In recent years, they became snow birds, dividing their time between Chester and Port Richey, Fla. Robert passed away peacefully at their home in Chester on July 19 surrounded by his family. Robert is survived by his wife and their five children, Michelle Scott of Chester, N.H., Catherine Fogg of Francestown, N.H., Robert Jeans of New Port Richey, Fla., Timothy Jeans of Clovis, Calif., and Andrew Jeans of Nashua, N.H.; along with 18 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sandra Battis of Danville, N.H., and Kathleen Anderson of Concord, N.H.
A memorial service was held for him on July 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Derry, N.H. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
