Roscoe W.'s Story
Roscoe W. Wilbur, 78, of Londonderry, N.H., died Monday, January 2, 2017, in his home. He was born in Nashua, N.H., on June 27, 1938, a son of the late Roscoe and Mildred (Wead) Wilbur. He was a resident of Londonderry for the past two years, formerly living in Derry, N.H. Roscoe was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. He was employed for Western Electric for over 14 years and was very well known in the Derry area, working as a locksmith, an electrician and a machinist. Roscoe was also a Justice of the Peace in New Hampshire. He enjoyed doing projects and was an avid animal lover.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Sennett) Wilbur of Londonderry; nine children, Brenda Plummer of Derry; Susan Kimball of Manchester, N.H.; Roscoe Wilbur of Stonewood, W.V.; Debbie Voltero of Salem, N.H.; James Wilbur of Hudson, N.H.; Jonathon Wilbur of Derry; Joseph Wilbur of Derry; Timothy Wilbur of Hudson; and Todd Wilbur of Derry; his step-son, Brian Sennett of Vackerville, Calif.; his step-daughter, Christine Lemire of Henniker, N.H.; 26 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his ex-wife, Joyce Jennings; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. The burial will be in his family lot in Hudson in the spring.
