Boise, Idaho - Ruth Mae Kimball passed away peacefully after announcing to her family "I'm alright now", at the Life Care Center of Treasure Valley in Boise, Idaho on April 27, 2019 at the age of 91.
She was born in Derry, NH in 1928 to parents, Roland and Ada Kimball, life long residence of Derry. She was an adoring mother to four children, Carole, Dean, Deborah and Stephanie, who say she never disciplined them because she said that in her eyes, they were always perfect and could do no wrong. Ruthie spread her kindness to her many grandchildren and many more great grandchildren. She suffered no major illnesses in her lifetime, and contributed her longevity to not taking prescription medications.
She graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry and spoke of how she attended while Alan Shepard was also enrolled.
Ruthie, her family and second husband Frank Beaudet, moved from Derry in the 1960s to Southern California and eventually lived several years in South Africa before relocating to Florida where she found the perfect job for her warm personality as a cast member at Disney World. There she worked, first as a 'Greeter' in Wild Kingdom and then at Wilderness Lodge warmly welcoming visitors from everywhere in the world.
Ruthie's favorite song was always, When You Wish Upon A Star by Jiminy Cricket and the lyrics;
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you.
Her burial was a simple service at Forest Hill Cemetary in Derry, N.H. on May 29, 2019, attended by her daughter, Carole and husband, Craig, her nephew Bob Kimball and spouse Paula and her life long friend, Donald Ingalls.
