Yvonne T.'s Story
Yvonne T. King, 77, of Derry, N.H., died Friday February 3, 2017, in her home.
She was born in Inverness, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada on May 8, 1939, a daughter of the late Colin and Mary Hattie (Poirier) MacDougall. Yvonne was a resident of Derry for the past 45 years, formerly living in Lynn, Mass. She was employed for 32 years at Nutfield Heights in Derry as an administrator, retiring in 2015. Yvonne enjoyed gardening and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Scott King, Jon King, Lori Nadeau, and Lesa Therrien; eight grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Matilda Podlesney and Colina LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, James F. King in 2010.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, February 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry.
