Londonderry, NH - Barry died peacefully on October 23, 2019 at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer. He was high on life and had the most amazingly easy-going attitude. His cancer diagnosis never, NOT FOR ONE DAY, lowered his spirits. His family and friends will remember him for his passion for the music of John Lennon and The Beatles, and his irrepressible love of life.
Barry was part of the Londonderry High School class of 1980. Barry worked in Florida for Outback for many years, developing a love for cooking. He also loved gardening, planting flowers for all to enjoy. He loved fishing and being outside, in the mountains or at the beach, as well as hanging with friends watching Boston Sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Barry is survived by his father, Alfred O'Connell and Alfred's partner, Irene St. Germain, brothers and sisters, Kellie Cadieux, Mark O'Connell, Brian O'Connell, Bridget Edson and her husband, Patrick, Patrick O'Connell and his wife April, sister-in-law Heidi O'Connell, niece, Shauna O'Connell, nephews, Kevin O'Connell, Nick Cadieux, and Trevor Hanson, and great-nephew Parker Hanson.
Barry was predeceased by his mother, Marianne O'Connell and brother, Sean O'Connell.

A celebration of Barry's life is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 2nd at the Puritan Conference Center, Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH 03054, which the family would like to thank for their care.
