David Dave Lee

Derry - David "Dave" Lee, 65, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on May 4, 2025, after health complications.
Born on August 24, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA, Dave brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to everyone he met.
A former CPA with multiple Master's degrees, Dave was deeply committed to both his work and his community, but it was his humor, compassion, and unwavering ability to make people feel at ease that truly defined him. Whether he was telling jokes, sharing a story, or simply offering a listening ear, Dave had a unique gift for making people feel seen and cared for.
Dave had a wide range of passions, from playing his guitar to enjoying history books and films. He was actively involved in political campaigns, loved spending time in nature, swimming at the SNHU pool or catching a soccer game, and never passed up the chance to enjoy a scoop (or pint) of ice cream. Dave took immense pride in his children. If he wasn't on the court coaching them, he was cheering for them in the stands. In more recent years, one of his greatest joys was playing his guitar for his grandchildren, Brennan and Griffin — a memory the family will always hold close.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife and college sweetheart of 47 years, Amy Lee; his children, Carole (with wife Heidi), Patrick (with wife Lisa), and Meghan (with partner Haley); and his grandchildren, Brennan and Griffin, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He also leaves behind his siblings Don Jr., Craig, Kevin, Tim, Mary, and Chris, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Ann Lee.
Our family will be holding a celebration of Dave's life on Thursday, May 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Westbrook Inn in Derry, NH. We hope you can join us to commemorate the life of such a wonderful man.
In his honor, we invite you to enjoy a bowl of ice cream and think of Dave — his smile, his stories, and the joy he brought to so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Derry, where Dave volunteered and coached his children, or to a charity of your choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium 15 Birch Street Derry, NH is assisting the family. To sign an on-line guestbook, please visit www.peabodyfuneralhome.com.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Tree Planting Timeline

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
