Derry - Derry - Elaine T. Rendo, 97, a lifelong resident of Derry, NH, passed away Friday October 24, 2025, in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.

She was born on February 7, 1928 in Derry, NH, a daughter of the late Edward and Philomene (Rolin) Latulippe.

Elaine was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1945 and attended the New England School of Art in Boston. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the medical field, where she made many lifelong friends.

Deeply involved in her community and her church, Elaine served on the Derry Budget Committee in the 1950's, where she was the 2nd woman appointed by Judge George Grinnell. She was the first President of St. Thomas Aquinas PTO and also served as past President of both the Junior Woman's Club and the Tabernacle Society of St. Thomas. In addition, she was a Trustee and Incorporator of the Alexander Eastman Foundation and a Trustee of the East Derry Taylor Library. Elaine was an avid reader, who especially loved history and biographies. She had a keen interest in politics and was an accomplished bridge player, cofounding the Derry Bridge Club. Above all, Elaine was a devoted mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her children, Jeanna Orphanidys and her late husband John, Patricia Norton, James Rendo and his wife Jacqueline, Mary LaFreniere and her husband Robert; ten grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Jason, Aaron, Justin, Joshua, Andrew, Katherine, Emilie, and John; six great-grandchildren, Colby, Emma, Kendall, Reid, Ryan and Huck; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Elaine was predeceased by her beloved husband, John F. Rendo; her son, Jon Rendo; all her siblings - Clement, Lionel, Estelle, Leona and Irene - and her dearest friend Margaret deRedon.

Calling hours were held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, October 28th at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry.
