Lawrence - Judith Ann (Barry) Hill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away suddenly August 2, 2023. She was born September 24,1943, in Lawrence, MA to Paul O. Barry and Mildred A. Burns.

Born an only child, she dreamed of building a large family full of love and laughter. Consisting of her husband Kevin of nearly 56 years, her children: Paula and Shawn Maxwell, Barry and Shara Hill, Kathy and Rob LeMay, Dan and Rachel Hill, her grandchildren: Laura and Adam Upham, Amy and Ryan Collins, Weston LeMay, Cora LeMay, Emma Hill, Liam Hill, Iris Hill and Rose Hill, and a great-grandbaby on the way, we know that she was able to see her dream fulfilled.

A lifelong teacher and educator, she would regularly recognize her first grade students some 30 to 50 years later like it was yesterday. She could find a friend in the most obscure of places, and if she didn't find someone she already knew, you could be certain she would make a friend before she left. There was a calming hum to her energy that would coax even the most stubborn periwinkle out of its shell.

As our resident social butterfly, she loved her clubs and groups of friends. You could find her playing games (bingo, cards, mahjong, etc), quilting, crafting, or reading for her book club on any given day.

Once she retired, she and Kevin were able to pursue their wanderlust and travel the world. Though she had many adventures on their travels, her favorite was always going back to her roots in Ireland.

Judy is someone who was considered a pillar of her community, a friend to all, and the heart of our family. Always remember, when you see a dragonfly, you can feel certain she is near.

Flowers and plants brought a lot of joy to Judy's life. Feel free to continue that joy by sending a loved one an arrangement in her memory.
