Londonderry - Maria A. Wood, 84, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday, May 5, 2025 in her home. She was born on June 16,1940 in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Harold Doerr and Margaret (Carson) Doerr.
She had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 28 years, formerly living in Windham, NH. Maria graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lawrence. She had been employed as a tax examiner for the IRS in Andover, MA.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas Morin and Jeffrey Morin; her daughter, Jennifer Sarcione; her stepchildren, Stewart Wood, Kathleen Howe, and Amy Cooper; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, her brother, John Doerr; her sister, Elsa Traynor; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Wood in 2012, her daughter, Deirdre Morin-Dube in 2008, and her siblings, Alan Doerr and Julie Hilbert.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 8th from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
