Marie A. Desjardins (nee Roy), 91, of Methuen, passed away on October 20, 2017, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by her devoted family.

Marie is survived by her six beloved children, her daughter, Theresa LeFreniere and her husband, Ronald of Derry, N.H.; her daughter, Lorraine Jackson and her husband, Donald of Methuen, Mass.; her son, Richard Desjardins and his wife, Linda of The Villages, Fla.; her son, Roger Desjardins and his wife, Betty of Andover, Mass.; her son, Robert Desjardins and his wife, Debra of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and her son, Ronald Desjardins and his wife, Laura of Derry, N.H. She was the cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to her nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Marie was also the cherished aunt to her nephew, Roland Roy of Chelmsford, Mass. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie A. (Savaria) Roy; and her beloved husband, Wilfred Desjardins, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage until his passing in 2006. She was also predeceased by her sister, Stella Theberge and her husband, Emile; and her brother, Wilfred Roy and his wife, Rita.

Calling hours for Marie will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Parish, 43 Essex Street, Andover. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 130 N. Lowell Street, Methuen.
