Bedford - Marlene J. Damiano, 80, of Bedford, NH, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
She was born on May 19, 1945 in Pittsfield, MA, a daughter of the late Eugene and Vivian Rich. Marlene was a lifelong resident of New England, growing up in MA & CT before building her family life in Derry, NH. She was a longtime resident of Derry, NH before moving to Bedford, NH for the past four years.
She is survived by her son, Michael Damiano and his wife Julie; two daughters, Lori Damiano, and Susan Johnson and her husband Matt; one grandson, Mareck Damiano; brother, Don Rich, and sisters-in-law Cindy Marsella and Barbara Rich. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Damiano, and her brother, Larry Rich.
Marlene loved to travel and try new things with her husband, family, and friends.She was an influential presence in her grandson's life and cherished taking Mareck to the Hampton Sandcastle events and various train shows. A true social butterfly, Marlene was the life of any party, especially when her famous chicken wings were involved. She was often found dining out with friends, senior friends' events, or watching Patriots games at local restaurants. When she wasn't heading out on one of her many excursions, she was happy at home enjoying mocha frappes and all forms of chocolate.
Always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, Marlene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her—most of all, her family.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
