Zephyrhills, FL - Mary Elizabeth Giroux went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 28, 2019.

She was born to parents Ivory and Ethel (Coombs) Carey on January 5, 1934 in Bucksport, Maine. She was married to the late George A Giroux on June 10, 1950 in Derry, NH where together they raised a family and became the proprietors of the Brookside Restaurant for over 20 years before moving to Meredith, NH in 1976 and then making Zephyrhills, FL their permanent residence in 1982. Mary is survived by her sister Ginny Boyle, her brother Rodney Carey, and her five children: Cindy Schober and husband Paul, George Giroux and wife, Nancy, Jeanne Garland and husband Shawn, Mary Belden and husband, Mike, and Robert Giroux and wife Tammy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Donald and Arthur Carey, and sisters Maizie Moynihan, Phyllis Mills, and Avis Hammond.

Mary loved spending time with her family, crocheting, reading, and participating in her women's Bible Study group. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed!

A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Deborah Roof, will be held at Upper Village Hall, 52 East Derry Rd, Derry, NH on October 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. for family and friends.
