Derry - Michael P. Moynagh, 75 of Derry, NH died on January 1, 2025, following a very brief illness at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.
Michael was born in Salina, Kansas on May 24, 1949, the son of the late Howard and Mildred (Wayne) Moynagh. He was raised and educated in Leicester, MA, before moving to Derry 50 years ago.
He worked for Hampshire Fire for 50 plus years, retiring in June of 2022. The family and many friends spent many years vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee in the month of August.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Ninteau) Moynagh of Derry, his stepdaughter, Pamela (PJ) Osborn, two granddaughters, Jocelyn and Katelyn Barriault, and his sister-in-law, Terry Stewart and her husband John. Family friends, Kim Wood and Joy St. Pierre spent time with Mike in his final days.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date at the family's convenience. The Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
