Derry - Michael James Reynolds, 77, of Derry, NH, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born on January 28, 1949, to Eileen (Murnane) and Philip J. Reynolds. Michael was raised in Cambridge and Somerville, attending local schools, and graduating from Somerville High School. Following High School, Michael proudly served in the United States Army.

Michael spent his entire career working for Verizon. Throughout his career, he was a proud member and Chief Stewart in the Local IBEW 2222.

He was an avid lover of wildlife, as he enjoyed time spent fishing or watching birds and woodland animals. Michael and his wife Diane had experienced many adventures together, traveling to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and Cape Cod.

Michael will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and his selfless generosity.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah McAlister and her husband Troy; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Noah, Kayleigh, Riley, Abigail, and Makenzie; his siblings, Vincent Reynolds and his wife Maureen, Brian Reynolds and his wife, Nancy, Janet Reynolds, and Joanne Reynolds and her husband Michael; as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife, Diane Marie (Powers) Reynolds; his daughters, Kristin and Kimberly Reynolds; and his sister, Joyce Reynolds.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
