Myrna Adams Obituary

91, of Derry, passed to her eternal home December 4, 2017, at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, with her spouse and friends by her bedside. She was born on July 18, 1926 in Waterville, Maine, to Harry F. and Lulu (Ballard) McLean. She was educated in the Old Town, Maine, School System. She was an accomplished seamstress in the art of designing and creating numerous wedding gowns and other formal wear for women.

On October 15, 1945, she married George R. Adams in Old Town, Maine. They lived in Springfield, Vt., prior to moving to Derry, N.H. She was also a Past Matron of Ramona Chapter, O.E.S. in Springfield, Vt., and was awarded the Grand Cross of Color by the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Adams was a volunteer for Rockingham County Parent/Child Mediation Program, and Derry Share Program.

She is survived by her husband, George, with whom she shared 72 years of marriage; son, Stephen Adams and wife, Catherine of Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughter, Bonnie Scriba and husband, Rick of Eagle Point, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: The Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, on December 11, 2017. Interment at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NH Food Bank, 700 East Industrial Park Dr., Manchester, NH 03109.
