Nancy Lee (Quinn) Ryan Obituary

Londonderry - Nancy Lee (Quinn) Ryan, 63, of Londonderry, NH, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 27, 2022 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She passed peacefully in the presence of her family.

Nancy was born March 28, 1959 in Greenwich, CT and was a daughter of the late Walter Quinn and Mary Lou (Conlon) Quinn. One of nine siblings, she was raised and educated in Greenwich and eventually settled in Londonderry, NH to raise her family.

Nancy was a highly regarded fixture in her local community for over 30 years. She had boundless enthusiasm for her job and her beloved "work" family, and knew how to put a smile on their faces as a trusted friend and colleague. Her interests often transformed into passions that she pursued with fervor, including as a dedicated fan and supporter of her children's many activities, gardening, distance walking, connecting with friends, and New England sports pride. A lover of musical greats such as James Taylor, R.E.M., and the Beatles, you would often catch her singing along on the car radio, perhaps en route to her favorite places such as the local apple orchards, the White Mountains, or on road trips to the coast of Maine.

Nancy also knew the importance of giving back to the community that gave her family so much. A devoted volunteer and coach for many years with the Special Olympics track program in Londonderry, NH, she often involved her children in her volunteer efforts to instill in them the importance of lifting others.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael Ryan, her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Andrew Hastings, her daughter and daughter's fiancé, Kathryn Ryan and Jacob Vallejo, and her son and daughter in law, Michael and Megan Ryan. She is also survived by her large extended family, including her mother-in-law, Anita Ferguson, her sister and brother in law, Susan and Douglas Matsen, and their children, Kristen and William, her brother and sister in law Brian and Karen Quinn, and their children, Sean, Allyson, and Lucas, her sister Colleen Reardon, and her children, Abigail and Emily, her brother and sister in law Keith and Christine Quinn, and their children, Matthew, Shannon, and Mary, her sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Steve Costanzo, and their son Jason, her sister and brother-in-law, Kerry and Michael LeBlanc, and their children Danielle and McKenzi; her sister-in-law and brother in law Susan and Charles Pickett, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Griff Trow, and their children Ryan and Caitlin, her sister-in-law, Shelley Reynolds, her brothers-in-law, Scott McMahon and Sean Gleason, her nieces Tricie, Sarah, Casey, and Ryan, and nephew Joey. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary Lou Quinn, her father-in-law, Robert Ryan, her father-in-law, Rodney Ferguson, her sister Marion McMahon, her sister, Tara Gleason, and her brother in law Kent Reynolds.

There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life reception will be held for family and friends by invitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics New Hampshire, in honor of her tireless support and volunteer efforts with the organization.
