Derry - Sharon Ann (Thomson) Herman, born on September 23, 1945, in Reading, PA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

Sharon spent her early years in Berks County before relocating to Southern New Hampshire in 1979. She resided in Derry, NH, where she lived a quiet and fulfilling life. Sharon worked in the secretarial and transportation fields and was known for her fierce independence and dedication to her family and community. She was an active leader in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives.

A lover of animals, Sharon had a special fondness for dogs, particularly Great Danes. She found joy in photography, bird watching, tennis, crossword puzzles, and crocheting. Her hobbies reflected her appreciation for life's simple pleasures and her creative spirit.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her four children, Barry; Paul and his wife Patty; Tim; and Melissa and her husband Robert. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Bryan, Timothy Jr., Josh, Sarah, Abigail, Casey, Mason, and Lauren; as well as a great-grandmother to Ryder, Benjamin, Cadence, Connor, and Penny. Her family brought her immense pride and joy throughout her life.

In accordance with Sharon's wishes, a private family service will be held to honor her memory.

Sharon's love for animals and her quiet strength will be cherished by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
