Susan Carol Barbaro Gove Obituary

Exeter - With much sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Susan (Barbaro) Gove on Sept 17, 2024.

While traveling in Europe, Susan succumbed to a cardiac arrest despite the valiant efforts of the doctors and staff at St Thomas' Hospital in London.

Susan was the youngest child of Nancy (Toothaker) and John Barbaro. She is survived by her sister, Christine and husband, Judson Ludeking of So Hampton NH, and brother, Wayne and wife, Nancy J. (Courage) Barbaro of Salisbury MA.

Susie had settled into condo living in Exeter NH and was loved by all she met. It didn't take much to make her smile and she worked hard to make all around her happy, especially her Thursday and Friday condo groups.

Susie will be forever remembered by many nieces and nephews; Kelly and husband John Doherty; Amanda Ludeking; Jessica Stevens; Katherine and husband Roberto Pinto; Casey (Barbaro) and husband Tyley Bzdak; Adam Barbaro and wife Bethany; and grandnieces; Gracie and Riley Doherty; Quinn, Harper and Clementine Stevens; Mackenzie Barbaro; and grandnephew, Robbie Pinto.

She was predeceased by her nephew, Andrew Barbaro.

Susie attended and graduated from Amesbury High School, class of 1971, and graduated from White Pines College where she pursued her love of photography and media arts. She went on to work in the family business doing advertising, customer relations and working in the plant, making many friends of her co-workers. A quiet soul, Suzie spent many hours building "extreme" Lego models, knitting and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

In her younger days, she loved coaching softball and was a mentor to numerous young ladies.

Recently Suzie became our "hero" by spending many months with our aging parents, caring for them with love and kindness, putting her own life on hold while serving them. Susie holds a special place in our families' hearts. We will miss her dearly.

There will be no services at this time as we try to find the appropriate way to honor her life.
